I'm off to see the wizard

Yes Friday night I will be in Sydney to see Wicked. Not long to go. DH is going to see AC/DC on thursday night and I figured I would go at the same time as I don't like going to Sydney, too many people for me I'm a country gal. So the kids get time off school and get to visit their Grandparents for a few days. Sprog 10 is staying here with his Nan as he is in PSSA swimming on Friday. He thought that he would still get time off school, Ha, no way boy off to school you go. I am going to try and do a shop at Aldi while down that way (non perishables) to see what the difference is in price as I hear so much about how good they are from the Simple Savings ladies.

I have been reading a few personal finance blogs lately. I love playing with numbers and budgets so these are fun to read for me. Some good ones I have come across are
Punch Debt in the face - www.punchdebtintheface.com/
The Simple Dollar - www.thesimpledollar.com/
These are both American so if you know of any Aussie ones let me know in the comments.

This is Sprog 6 getting invested into Joey Scouts and that is me at the back I am the Joey Leader. everyone in our family is in Scouts. DH is a Cub leader, Sprog 10 and sprog 7 (will be 8 on Wednesday) are Cubs and Sprog 6 is now finally a Joey not a JIT (Joey in training), he has been waiting a long time for this.

I am really going to try and keep up blogging reguarly and I may even blog about my wellness challenge LOL.

A BIG Change

We have made the descision to sell up here in Country NSW and move to Tassie. WOO HOO I finally convinced him. This is such and exciting step and after a few tears from the sprogs about leaving their friends we are all on board for the big move.
Now I have never actually been to Tasmania, BUT it looks beautiful and the Simple Savings(SS) ladies keep raving about it. SO Tasmania here we come.

Now I am not planning to take much of our stuff as I don't really like our stuff, so this has been a good motivator to clean out things we don't use or love. The only furniture that MUST come is a pianola that is about 50 years old and a cupboard made for my grandfather for his wedding by his ship mates in 1913. The fridge goes with the house as it took the shop deliverers a LONG time to fit it through the doors and I have no desire to try and get it out (I have a hernia just thinking about moving it) and all our other electricals are 11-12 years old so probably won't last much longer anyway, so they can be put out to pasture.

On the wellness front, wellllll some things are better left unsaid. DK's go back to school in 4 days 16 hours and 42 minutes, not that I am counting or anything. Now if we lived 30 mins east we would not be in the western division of NSW and they would be back already. So I hope I can get in a better routine when school starts back.

Just bragging now: Boy Sprog 10 is playing district junior bowls at Gunnedah tomorrow. He is very excited.
